the HK was honestly one of the best experiences of my entire being.

i'll tell you all about it and then i'll add a picture over load at the bottom.

(ps. i'm copying a lot of this from k skous. love you girl.)
we left late thursday january 19, 2012 and arrived in Hong Kong early morning saturday 21, 2012
{15 hour flight from LAX + Hong Kong being 15 hours ahead of SLC = friday january 20, 2012 never exsisted in my life}
right after we landed we headed straight to rehearsal.
the next few days consisted of rehearsals, a tour of hong kong, shopping (stanley and lady's markets). bus rides, lunches, shows, dancing in the Chinese New Year Parade and more.
we got home thursday January 26, 2012 after a long flight home sitting next to kelso and peiter.
warrior and 127 hours are the only movies i watched on the flights.
i should have had a marathon.
time definitely didn't stop then. we went straight into rehearsals for our Move show which was 2 weekends ago and went surprisingly amazing.
the jet lag kicked in sunday morning after the show when i didn't go to bed until 6 am and slept till 5:30 pm.
needless to say, the next couple of days were rather...rough.

it's weird that christmas is a crazy 2 sleeps away.

i've loved every second of christmas break. any way to get me out of school and not have homework or miss anything makes me happy. i've had dance everyday. we are preparing for our trip to hong kong next month & our move show which takes place the day after we get home. can we say JETLAG.

thursday night i found out that i am going here...

yes, that would be hong kong, china.
my live to dance cast from last year got invited to dance in the chinese new year parade...
UH WHAT!
yes me, little ol' erika and 40 of my closest friends are going to hong kong.
is this real life?!?!
that i'm not sure of yet.
it hasn't hit me that i'm actually going to CHINA in a month.
i feel so blessed that i've had so many amazing opportunities with my dancing.
hopefully they keep coming.

friday:

i headed over to hunter's while she was getting ready for date #1.

liz, & britt were there as well.

we had some bonding time.

then liz and i met up with elle and bain for a pie fest at bainy's!

after eating some yummy pie avery and ash joined us for BOWLING!

i bowled a 39...

HAHA.

i wasn't trying one bit and i'm pretty sure i had the most fun ;).

after bowling & chips and salsa from chilli's we went to avery's and played my favorite game just dance.

saturday:

i went to hunter's to hang out with her while she got ready for date #2.

it was also chance's 21st birthday!

once hunter left for her date bain, elle, and i went to sabrina's house for her 15th birthday party!

after the party we went to avery's for more just dance :):)

yesterday was great.

the day started with noodles and company.

elle, ashley, maddie m, liz, q von, avery, trod, maddie h. & i went to lunch.

after we went to the chocolate and shared a cazookie.

then ashley, elle, and i went to riverwoods.

then we went to elle's and played just dance 2 and wii sports (liz joined us at this point)

we made q.

then we went to chilli's to get chips and salsa and then to toys "r" us.

then we met up with alex, nicole, trey, avery, trod, lady trod, hannah & madeline at riverwoods once again.

after riverwoods we went to alex and madeline's.

q, jake, brittany b, brittany g, hunter, rachel, and tons others met us there.

we chilled in the basement and played our favorite game, Just Dance 2!!!

we're in love.

this weekend was fun.

friday laci and i went to lunch.

then i hung out with my boys korbin and david.

we just stayed at korbin's all night.

ordered pizza, watched a movie, hung out with connor (korb's little brother) and his 8th grade friends.

i came home early that night.

i was in bed sleeping by 11:45.

i honestly think that's the earliest i've been home on a friday night since before summer...

no joke.

then saturday i got ready and marley came over.

we ran a couple of errands and then went to kina's.

kina is honestly one of the greatest girls i know.

i look up to her in soo many ways.

she is so strong and she won't let anything get her down.

i love you kina and you'll make it through this trail.

i'll be here for you through it all.

after sitting at kina's for a while we met up with moana and went to the roll up.

i got the chocolate lovers crepe which looks like this...

it was sooo good.

the inside was nutella and brownie.

YUMMY.

then we went hot tubbing.

after hot tubbing we met up with morgan, tyler, austin, and eli and just had a crazy night.

i love my friends.

kind of weird and sick and gross but you know if you like stuff like that, watch it...

at school i am the ta of the dance 3 class.

marley, brittany grimm, and jesica all happen to be in that class and we make things...

interesting.

i'm not gonna lie... and hollie might say other wise but we know it's true..

we're her favorites of the class.

here is brittany and jesica eating doritos while doing sit ups.

they said the only reason they were doing such is because it contradicts itself.

doing sit ups and eating burns it off before it even gets to your abs.

hollie likes to give us a large supply of candy.

even though hollie gives us candy britt, jes, mar mar, and i still find fun in taking

LARGE

candy bars from ballroom's stash....

hollie also likes to give us her left over pancakes, cupcakes, and drinks of her drink she gets 3 times a day.

diet mt. dew with a little bit of code red.

she knows what's up.

we also like to make up dances.. i mean we are in dance class right..?

last night was haLLowEEn.

it was one of the most fun halloweens i've ever had!

the day started with regular ol' school.

i dressed up as an 80's girl and had the EASIEST day of school ever.

after school i hung out with some of my close friends at a friend's house.

we went to juice and java and had a fun time being US.

then the party started...

i came home and got ready in my indian costume...

it wasn't really a costume...i just had a lot of feathers, and brownish shirt, and a head band...

worked for me.

i went to ellie's and met up with brett, kyle, britton, lauren j., ellery, and all of them.

then we headed to naomi's where there was a hole swarm of orem high kids.

hung out there for a while before brett, ellie, liz, maddie, britton, and i went to amy's to watch clue.

after watching a little bit of the movie i peaced out to go with lauren, paige, delany, and rachel.

we headed to a timpview party at cade & remi's house.

dj carson was there spinning tracks and everyone was dancing and partying.

honestly, a great party on a monday night...

not me. but folks, it happened and i had a blast.

no i didn't go trick-or-treating so, no candy for me but,

i did have a GOOD GOOD night.

Live To Dance

one year ago today i was here...

this would be the dome at dodger's stadium.

it was our first audition for live to dance.

we didn't know what to expect but then we ended up with 3 stars.

a month and a half later we found out this....

we had made it to the semi-finals of live to dance.

we were all so excited and ready to work our butts off.

the day after christmas break we drove to california.

all 40 of us to begin our amazing adventure.

we danced in the live semi finals and got judges pick to go straight through to the finale.
we came home for a week and then headed back to cali for another two.

we danced in the finals and only ended up with two gold stars and one red... :(
for the next week before the finale night we practiced for this...

we ended up not winning the show but it's alright.
honestly this was the most amazing experience i've ever had in my life.
everyday i learned something new.
i met some aMaZiNg people along the way.

today was a DRAG.

it seemed like the day was never going to end, until 2nd period.

i'm an office aide in the front office.

cherie (the secretary) told me to run a paper to mr. gurr's class.

as i'm walking down the hall all by my lonesome the fire alarm goes off.

i think to myself, "oh it's just a drill."

then i see the janitor running at a full sprint.

kristi (aka sister moulton) comes out of her office and says,

"come on erika. it's not a drill."

outside to the soccer field i go.

all of the sudden there is a firetruck and ambulance.

come to find out, there was a chemical reaction in the chemistry lab that caused smoke...

i don't even know.

Dance Company Regional Concert

tuesday night was the ODC's regional concert.

we performed along with mv, timpview, timpanogos, & pg.

the day started with us learning the finale piece.

then we spaced all of our numbers on stage.

after we had a break to get ready and eat the yummy food our director hollie got for us.

our dance company director is honestly the best one there is.

she is so funny and nice and cares about all of us.

i also ta the dance class she teaches at the school.

she is the greatest.

the concert went great.

we danced 4 numbers.

we had such a blast!

after the concert some of us from odc went to macey's.

we saw our friend sydney bruning there along with zach, mh, and trey.

syd went to macey's to meet up with her dance team but went to the wrong macey's so...

she just hung out with the amazing odc!!

it started with gabby and i picking up our dates.

gabs went with brooks and me,

i went with mr. jared cruser.

we met everyone in the riverwoods for pictures. (which marley took and did great!)

after pictures, we went to macaroni grill for dinner.

after dinner we headed to orem high for sadie's goes 80's.

the dance was a blast.

jared, gabby, brooks, and i were dancing next to each to each other the whole time.

after the dance, we went to jesica's and watched paranormal activity.

this weekend was great.

it included orem high beating mountain view 35-34.

28 unanswered points in the last quarter.

yeah. that's how we do it.

we beat them at their own house.

the game was negative 30 degrees and rainy.

but other than that i had a great time with my friends at the game.

before this happened i spent the afternoon with my favorite boys,

jeremy, korbin, and david.

we were having a little too much fun with the megaphones the cheer coach had handed out at school.

those four megaphones honestly made our whole night.

they are some of the greatest friends i've had in a long time.

i'm so thankful that i can have amazing memories like that with such amazing people.

i've been a little bit of a slacker lately but i'm here now to update you on my life.

monday:

hollie (my dance company director at school) let the girls that weren't in the dance they were working on leave the school.

we went to kneader's and got french toast. YUM.

Tuesday:

just a normal day.

i had school and dance.

we try and make the best of it.

wednesday:

went to school.

i didn't have a fourth period and i didn't have dance until 5:30 so i went to nick's and hung out.

then to dance.

home, sleep, etc.

thursday:

went to school and lunch with bain, ellie, and ari.

then i went to dance.

after dance i went and hung out with some of my besties.

friday:

i taught the dance 3 class at my school. that was a struggle...

but it was fun i guess.

then after school and i went home and colored my hair.

got ready and went and picked up paige.

we went to the football game with hunter, jeremy, and david.

then we went and picked up lauren and just hung out.

that night paige and lauren slept at me casa.

saturday:

i had to take paige home early because she had a hair appointment.

when lauren finally raised from the dead we got ready.

she stole my phone and this was the outcome....

then we went to cafe rio for lunch with tysen because it was his 17th birthday!

afterwards we went to lauren's.

i started feeling sick and so i went home and took a nap.

after sleeping it off i went and picked up paige and lauren.

we went to mccade rose's to meet up with him tysen, gibson, brighton, and others.

i took lauren home and paige and i went to jesse's.

it was a little crazy over there.

monday:

it was teacher development day so we got out of school at 1230.

we went to korbin's and hung out until i had dance.

tuesday:

I HATE TUESDAY'S.

they are easily twenty times worse than monday's.

i went to school.

after school i went to sammy's with laci and mom for lunch .

SOO YUMMY.

then i came home and got ready for dance.

now i'm home.

i have an hour and half break and i better head back to the studio.

tootles friends.

I LOVE MY LIFE just fyi...

yesterday paige, jeremy, david, and i went to the state fair up in SLC.

it was soo fun to hang out with my friends all day.

we also went to the demolition derby.

I LOVED IT.

i had to wake up at 6 am to be at the school for the homecoming assembly practice.

then amy, ellie, maddie, and i went to kneaders before the double assemblies.

during dance company we had to space on the field for homecoming half time.

then i went to dance to start a dance with jenn.

after dance ellie, bini, ari, and i drove to orem high for half time!

we played provo high and we WON! yay!

i woke up went to dance and missed my day date to do this...

we danced.

then i went home and got ready (with jes) for homecoming with brooks bensen.

the day started with doing a whole bunch of nothing.

then i went to pick up gibson and brooks.

we went to mccdonald's and met up with hunter.

after that we went & got lauren and paige and like losers spent the remainder of the evening at the look out.

first off, we actually aren't losers.

monday:

lauren, paige, and i spent some of the day taking pictures for my photo class until we met up with jer bear.

we went to taco bell and just hung out.

after taco bell and taking the girls home jeremy told me to come over and hang out with him at his house so..i did.

about 20 minutes after being there jeremy says,

"hey, my dad's home. can you move your car?"

not thinking anything of it i go outside and find this...

yup.

i got asked to homecoming by this stud, brooks bensen.

i'm honestly sooo excited!

our group is soo fun and i got my dress today and i love it.

it's gonna be an awesome time.

tuesday:

the usual.

i had dance.

ellie, syd, and i had a break so we went and ate at syd's.

then we went back to class before heading over to happy sumo for brooklyn's sixteenth birthday dinner.

beezer's is FINALLY sixteen!! yay!

a SUMMER to remember.

this weekend was the last weekend of summer before my junior year of high school. it's crazy that i only have 2 years left of high school.

i'm excited that i'll have david & korbin with me as they enter their sophomore year & jeremy & statler who transferred from mv to orem.

i have some hard classes this year. algebra 2, chemistry...etc but i'm excited for what the year has to bring.

it makes me sad to thing that this summer is almost over and that one of my best friends, alvin, & his family are packing up their belongings and moving to brazil permanently.

2 weeks and 3 days until he's gone.

this summer has been one of the greatest summers i've ever had.

i know every kid says that every summer but this one truly has been.

this weekend was crazy.

friday:

brooks, jeremy, paige, lauren, and i went to a dance party in lehi.

it was sort of a total bust but we made the best of it.

we had fun dancing and singing and hanging out with the dj because there was like 5 other people there other than us...

we all had a good night because we were all just best friends trying to have a good time.

after the dance i met up with kina, morgan, jenna, and a bunch of their friends from kayesville.

we all hung out until we had to go sleep at kina's.

saturday:

pagie's family took me, lauren, brooks, and david boating.

one of the best days of summer.

i loved spending time with my true best friends.

after boating all day we went to yogurtland and just had a fun night.

i'll miss you summer.

hey all. i know i said i probably wouldn't blog again while i was here but, here i am.

i'll fill you in on my adventures.

tuesday:

laci and i headed to the SLC airport so we could fly into reno. my dad lives about 35 minutes away from reno in a town called minden.

i love flying...well actually, i like the airport more than the flying part.

people watching is one of my favorite things to do.

some people are just so.. bazar.

when we got to reno we had to go pick up my car.

{read post below}

i am seriously in love with it & so grateful my dad bought it for me.

i've wanted an audi ever since i was little and now i finally have one.

i've learned how to drive stick shift and i'm getting better day by day.

the first day or two was a little rough. i got frustrated with myself but i'm finally getting the hang of it and it's fun.

after we picked up the car dad and mary took us to dinner and then shopping at a little place called charming charlies.

everything in the store is color coated.

then we came back to dad's and just chilled for the night.

wednesday:

we headed into town to go school shopping at the outdoor mall.

the F21 here is AMAZING.

{better than the one in glendale where i shopped very frequently when i was on live to dance}

i got some cute vans from the vans store and lots of cool clothes.
we ate the best frozen yogurt ever from a place i believe was called freshberry.

that night mary, dad, laci, and i went to a very cool italian place down the road from their house.

thursday:

we woke up and went to target and staples to finish school shopping.

we also went to olive garden for lunch.

the rest of the day we spent at home taking naps.
dad made us burgers for dinner which were aMaZiNg.
laci and i went on a little drive.

we went to blockbuster and got a movie.

grown ups.

sooo funny. if you haven't seen it... watching it.
if you want a good laugh you'll love it.

one of my favorites for sure.

today:

we are going to head into town and go to hot august nights.

free concerts, cars, food & a night of fun i hope.

laci and i made it here safely yesterday.

i'm in love with it.

now for the rough part.

i have to learn how to drive a stick shift.

lauren & i slept in until a rather embarrassing hour.

i took her home and got ready and went to Korbin's to meet up with David & Calvin.

We went and got Theron and then went to a park.

Then we met Jeremy, Morgan, Kina, Mike, Tailor, Ben, Hunter, Gabby, Jesica, and Brooks at Vivian's Park.

we climbed a little and played a little volley ball.

david, calvin, theron and i called it an early night and i was home before 10.

i leave tomorrow to nevada to get a car.

i hung out with tailor, mike, and ben for a little.

then i met up with keaton, louisa, drew, and jax.

we went to trafalga and went mini golfing.

thursday:

jeremy and i went on an adventure through the canyon.

we started at the bottom of provo and then up to sundance.

drove the alpine loop to the mouth of the af canyon and came back down to good ol' orem.

then we met up with tailor, ben taylor, mary taylor, alyana taylor, hunter and mike.

friday:

i hung out with jeremy, greg, west, cooper, rachel, dylan, and chloe.

it was a super chill night.

we didn't do much.

greg wrote a rap about me.

let's say that it was awfully... creative.

saturday:

i met up with lauren and her little brother sam.

we went to the mall and he bought lauren and i necklaces.

what a nice boy.

then jeremy came and we met up with brooks.

we hung out at jeremy's until claire and jenna came.

we went to maddie mckell's surprise sweet sixteen and met a ton of friends there.

after the party we met up with isaac, finn, jake, nate, brandon, trey, q, & a bunch of my favorite orem boys i hadn't seen all summer.

then we went to scera park to kick around a soccer ball and so the boys could do their crazy "flips and shiz."

then we just hung out until i had to go to the ODC sleepover.

then i went to the orem dance company sleepover at sydnee's grandma's.

it was seriously so fun. i wish there would have been more to jump off of.

after the jump we went swimming at jeremy's.
